Because there’s just something super satisfying about making money from your bed.

There’s a certain appeal to paid online surveys. Plop down in bed, click click click, and cash out.

You can even earn money while watching Netflix.. sounds like my kinda gig.

Allow me to explain how it works…

Information and data is big business, just ask Zuck. To collect information, market research companies are in the business of recruiting new members from around the world.

They rely on people like you sharing your opinion, on anything from what you think of the new iPhone to what you think of Donald Trump, and offer rewards in return.

But be careful! Many sites aren’t legit and never pay out. To help you avoid the scams, we’ve done some deep digging and gone through dozens of platforms with a fine-tooth comb, carefully reviewing and ranking the best survey websites that will pay you for your time.

We chose these sites based on track record, user experience, the ease of cashing out and the actual potential to earn money. Let’s get right into it.

The Highest Paying Survey Sites — That Are Actually Legit

Pro-Tip: With online surveys, it’s best to cast your net wide because every site has a limited number of paid surveys each month per person. To earn serious rewards, sign up to as many sites as you can.  You may also want to set up a separate “survey-site only” email address so you can keep everything in one place. We share more tips at the end of the guide!

1. Swagbucks

A bunch of ways to earn rewards. Exclusive $5 signup bonus!

Who are they? Swagbucks are the largest and most reliable survey site (by far–they’ve paid out members over $300,000,000 in rewards to date!) They also offer rewards for playing games and watching videos.

Rewards: Cash, tons of e-Gift Cards and prize draws.

Amount per survey: 40 to 200 SB points per survey (100 SB = $1)

Min. reward threshold: 300SB for $3 gift cards.

Our review: We love Swagbucks, and we hear positive reviews from our readers about them too. We’ve found that completing surveys and polls every day provides the best return for your time, and there are 11 ways to earn Swagbucks in total.

Surveys take around 10 minutes to complete, meaning you can earn around $3 – $4 an hour=. Swagbucks also offers users the ability to complete surveys from multiple providers and give consolation points when you don’t qualify for a survey.

Rewards: Cash via PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Prepaid debit or credit cards.

Amount per survey: $1 to $5 in points.

3. Pinecone Research

Highly legit but super exclusive. They pay $3 per survey!

Who are they? Pinecone Research is a trusted leader in the survey panel industry. They’re owned and operated by the market research company Nielsen, whose headquarters are in New York.

Rewards: Cash via PayPal or check, Amazon Gift cards (and many others), Prepaid debit or credit cards.

Amount per survey: always $3 per survey.

Min. reward threshold: also $3, meaning you can cash out after completing one survey!

Our review: We absolutely love Pinecone Research. Their surveys only take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete, so you could make $9 to $12 an hour with Pinecone.

Sometimes, they even mail out products for their members to test from home! These may be physical products, or food items that may come delivered in a cooler. A follow-up survey is usually provided as part of the product test, which pays $3. These opportunities are highly sought after, as you may receive free food (or a product that you might be able to keep), as well as a paid follow-up survey.

The only downside is Pinecone Research is an invite-only panel. Because they’re super selective about who they accept, finding a link to join can actually be difficult. Good thing we have you covered; Use our link while it’s live to see if you qualify!

After that, they got into television ratings and now Nielsen measures the popularity of websites and online videos as well. That’s what the Computer and Mobile Panel is all about.

Rewards: Gift Cards from Amazon, Target, Starbucks, etc. and Cash Sweepstakes. Nielsen gives away $10,000 cash each month in addition to regular rewards.

Amount per survey: no survey-taking required, all you have to do is download their app on your mobile device or computer and use the internet the same way you do now.

Our review: We know this was a list all about survey sites, but we had to include this no-survey site. Passive income to watch cat videos? Now that’s a no-brainer.

6. volKno

Do you like movies? Then this one’s for you.

Rewards: Amazon gift cards and soon many more.

Amount per survey: they pay about 25 cents to watch and rate movie trailers.

Our review: This is a must for any movie buff, since you probably already watch trailers and leave a like or dislike already. If you like blockbusters, volKno is anything but lackluster.

How to Make the Most Money from Survey Sites

Rather than just leaving you with a list of online survey sites we want to ensure you get the most out of all of them. Here are our pro tips.

1. Set up another email address

You don’t have to do this but we recommend creating a separate email for all of your survey site accounts. That way you can log in each day and easily see the surveys on offer (without it clogging up your personal inbox).

You should also check your emails regularly as some surveys are only open for a day (sometimes less).

2. Sign up to them all

By joining as many panels as possible, you will always have surveys to answer instead of waiting for one or two to come along every month.

You can always unsubscribe if you don’t like the service that one of them is providing.

3. Be honest

Be honest when filling in these online paid surveys as sometimes you can be penalized for contradicting yourself or giving inadequate responses. Honesty is the best policy.

4. Watch out for scams and fake sites

The ones to watch out for are generally the ones that sound too good to be true! Watch out for survey sites promising you’ll make hundreds of dollars a week off of one site. Survey sites aren’t a get rich quick kind of thing. If anything, they’re a get rich slow kind of thing.

5. Cash in when you reach the limit

Unless you are looking to build up a big amount and aiming for one of the top rewards for which you have time for, then it’s best to cash in early with these paid survey sites.

Also be aware that some sites will have restrictions on when you can spend the points and how long they are valid for. This will be stated in the website’s terms of service. We recommend a browser extension like TOSDR (Terms of Service, didn’t read) to understand what you’re agreeing to.

6. Never pay to join

All of the paid survey sites listed above are free to apply for and use, and any legitimate survey site should be completely free to use. You should never sucked into paying for a subscription to any online survey website, no matter what they promise you! Be careful out there.

The sites listed on this page have been tried and tested and are genuine. If you are already a member of any of these survey sites or any that aren’t listed, then please do let us know what you think of them! Thanks for stopping by.
